DFNYC was a blast... After Dreamforce2U in Bryant Park, and Dreamforce 2021 in San Francisco, both of which had maybe a couple hundred attendees, things finally seem like they're returning to normal- or at least we can gather safely together once again.
The night before, the New York Admin Trailblazer Community hosted their first event, and the very first in person event at West Monroe Partner's offices.

We were required to show proof of vaccination before registering, and a bunch of local Salesforce MVPs showed up, like Bill Florio, Stephanie Herrera and Sandi Zellner, but also a number of out-of-town people I hadn't seen in years, like Eric Dreshfield, Cherise Van Liew, Carlos Siquiera and Charlie Isaacs.
The next day, Dreamforce was hosted in the new wing of the Jacob Javits Center, just north of NYC's biggest convention hall:
I took the opportunity to take an obligatory headshot, and though I never like how I look, it's always good to have recent professional photos of one's self on hand.
I got a chance to hang out with people in the Ohana I hadn't seen for years, and make a bunch of new friends. OwnBackup and FormStack both had afterparties, with the former hosted at "Movable Ink" overlooking The Vessel in Hudson Yards, and at American Whiskey respectively, where I met the head of The Carbon Institute John-O Niles, who I talked to for over an hour about Salesforce's environmental initiatives and shared experiences of farm and family life.
